Devis Leaders Inspire Students at Tech Frederick's Day of Tech Event

Devis CTO David Gurzick and Business Coordinator Faith Kiser recently participated as featured presenters at Tech Frederick's annual Day of Tech event, hosted in partnership with LYNX at Frederick High School.

The event, which has become a highlight in Devis's community engagement calendar, provided more than 60 high school students with insights into career opportunities in technology they might not have otherwise considered.

"One of our favorite days of the year is Day of Tech," shared Gurzick. "Seeing the curiosity and enthusiasm from these students reinforces our commitment to nurturing the next generation of tech professionals."

Gurzick and Kiser's presentation focused on the potential of AI in everyday life, offering students a glimpse into how artificial intelligence is transforming industries and creating new career pathways. Their interactive session demonstrated practical applications of AI technology and sparked thoughtful discussions about its future implications.

"What makes this event special is the opportunity to connect with students who might not see themselves in tech roles," said Kiser. "By showcasing the diversity of careers in this field, we hope to inspire students from all backgrounds to explore technology as a viable and exciting career path."

The day concluded with an engaging Q&A session at Hood College's dining hall, where students had the chance to directly interact with industry professionals and gain valuable insights into the technology sector.

Devis remains committed to supporting educational initiatives that bridge the gap between academia and industry, helping to build a diverse and skilled technology workforce for the future.
