ARLINGTON, Virginia (October 26, 2006) – Development InfoStructure (Devis), a leading provider of eGovernment applications and consulting services, is pleased to highlight the DOL Report which documents the success of DisabilyInfo.gov in efficiently meeting the needs of Americans with disabilities. The annual E-Government Act Report asks each Agency to emphasize one project that has had significant mission impact. In the Report the DOL describes how the shared technology asset allows all Agencies to work together to provide a focused, consolidated, front-end for all things that support people with disabilities. The technology, developed by Devis building on open source software, allows subject matter experts to maintain the shared Website securely and easily, without requiring any HTML coding. Devis supports content managers and outreach efforts as well as hosting this ".GOV" site via Managed Application Services. The Report, in contrasting this shared, consolidated, approach to the prior widely distributed and redundant efforts states: "In FY 2006, the initiative demonstrated savings of over $22 million…with cost savings projected to remain consistent at $20 million annually through FY 2012."
