Washington Technology featured the on-line coach projects, which Devis developed and managed, in its emerging technology "Tech Success" series. The "Put me in coach" article, which included comments from the Department of Labor's Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employment and Training Administration, described the value of the coach technology. Federal Computer Week also wrote about the Coach technology that is built on the Devis developed EZRO web content management system.
EZRO, which stands for EZ Reusable Objects, is a commercial open source software product initially developed in collaboration with the Department of Labor. EZRO can be used to author, maintain, and publish Web content in multiple formats, including an information portal, structured eLearning courses, or via the Coach interface.
EZRO is a content management system that allows staff to create and edit Web pages using simple online forms. No HTML coding is required. EZRO also ensures Section 508 compliance and consistent styling. There are numerous Coaches and other sites using EZRO.
"We are hopeful that this press coverage will make other agencies aware of the Coach technology and how it can be used to model any multi-web site dependant process," said Devis President Peter Gallagher. "The value of Web resources are unlocked when the multiple sources and transactions are structured for a specialized task using the Coach. The Coach could be used to assist with any type of process that relies on Web resources."
